As we embark on Q4 of 2018, we’re enjoying the spookiest of holidays here at the Protech headquarters, but we also want to highlight a few of the events that exemplify the great work our community partners do every day to tackle real-life horrors. There are too many great things that our partners do to list here, so these are just a select few resource and support-oriented events that have been created by our communities for our communities.
CATCH, the CARE and the Arkansas Homeless Coalition hosted a Mayoral Candidate Forum on Reentry & Homelessness.
The FOX 16 Job Alert & Goodwill Job Fair held in May was “a great opportunity for job seekers to network with employers and apply for open positions.”
The Watershed also held a successful Career Fair, propelling their goal to provide “job guidance, counseling, and assisting persons to become gainfully employed.”
Compassion Works for All hosted the local Day of Empathy here in Little Rock.
CARE facilitated Returning Home: Community Conversation about Access to Housing for Returning Citizens.
Our House launched their Summer of Justice, a series of free workshops that focused on criminal justice, family matters and civil rights.
We are so proud of our community partners and we look forward to all of the amazing work and progress they will continue to make this year!
As always, our mission is to support our community partners and we believe that the most effective way to do that is to share and form an integrated, cohesive network. In order to do this, we’ve launched our Community Certification Program as the first step to creating a collaborative network of service providers, volunteers and employers committed to meeting all of the needs of their clients.
